We breed our bees from our selected carnica bee stock. Rearing our own queens and re-queening our hives to ensure they are healthy and thriving, as they do their vital work.
Our bees annual journey
Following the British Winter, our bees are ready to get out into the Spring sunshine and forage on the beautiful, yellow oil seed rape.
At the end of Spring, our bees fly to the wild flowers and hedgerows to forage, whilst they expand their colonies and continue to harvest the nectar.
At the end of the Summer, we make the most of the UK’s last bloom, the heather. Our team of skilled beekeepers move our hives from the rolling farmland, to shelter spots near the exposed, rugged Moors.
When the last of the heather has bloomed, we move our hives before the UK Autumn weather begins. Taking them back to sheltered sites to wait out the Winter. Here they reduce in numbers and rest, with enough of there hard earned honey to last till Spring comes around again.
We are a long standing honey supplier and have loyal customers who buy our honey based on the quality, many of whom go on to win Great Taste awards. We do take orders prior to and throughout the season, and welcome businesses to contact us with forecast requirements. We sell our honey in commercial size (30 pound) buckets and large drums holding 300kg. We are able to decanter drums into buckets. We also offer the heating of drums ready for you to decanter yourself. Please ask for either of these at point of order.
